I still remember the first time I noticed Jonas — it was the first day of our film master’s program, and I heard his voice before I even saw him. Curious, I turned around and saw him for the first time: blond hair, that mischievous smile, and eyes full of enthusiasm — a kind of excitement I had never seen in anyone before. Little did I know, I was already starting to fall in love.

Over the past 16 years, his hair has changed, he now wears a beard, but one thing hasn’t: his boundless enthusiasm and the passion he brings to everything he does. Jonas is the creative mind behind Madein Weddings. His endless curiosity and drive to learn — from cameras and cinematography to directing and storytelling — has shaped everything we’ve built together. He’s relentlessly demanding, especially with himself, always striving for excellence, and his energy is infectious.

Beyond work, Jonas dives deeply into whatever captures his interest: music of every kind, cinema, psychology, reading, now even investments. He’s extremely technical and meticulous — if he does something, he does it exceptionally well. He’s also fascinated by different cultures, languages, and experiences, and his curiosity makes every trip, conversation, or project feel like an adventure. And of course, on top of everything, he’s my teacher, my partner, and the person who constantly pushes me to grow.

If I am air, she is earth. She grounds us — anchoring us to family, friends, a balanced lifestyle, and a sense of coherence in everything we do. I’m usually lost in my head, thinking, planning, dreaming, while she keeps us steady. She’s calm, serene, a true oasis of peace.

But don’t let that fool you — she’s also incredibly hardworking and astonishingly productive. Unlike me, who can get stuck overthinking something, she can handle multiple tasks at once and deliver amazing results. She often calls me her teacher, but honestly, she’s the student who surpasses the teacher — a sponge that absorbs everything effortlessly and executes it flawlessly. Maybe I spark the ideas, but she’s the one who brings them to life with incredible results. She’s fearless, organized, and always ready to take the leap.

I love her sweetness and her presence. On weddings, she’s completely there — attentive but respectful of the couple, knowing when to step in and when to step back, reading the room, and always capturing the couple at their best. Her fascination with psychology, people, the Enneagram, and anthropology makes her an extraordinary observer of human nature, and it shows in the way she perfectly captures the energy of every couple. If I am the brain of Madein Weddings, she is the heart.
